The Panzerkampfwagen V Panther (Sd.Kfz. 171) is a medium battle tank produced by Germany during the Second World War, which had its baptism of fire in July 1943 at the Battle of Kursk.
Designed to counter the Soviet T-34 tank and replace the Panzerkampfwagen III and Panzerkampfwagen IV, it eventually served alongside them until the end of the war in three main versions: 'D', 'A' and 'G'.
