The IV ‘Möbelwagen’ anti-aircraft tank was created in 1944 to meet the growing need for mobile anti-aircraft defence. It owed its nickname to the characteristic armour plates that were deployed in combat and resembled a furniture van. The vehicle was based on the proven chassis of the IV tank and was armed with the effective 3.7 cm DCA 43. This combination made it an important part of German anti-aircraft defence at the end of the war.
