Since its introduction in 1979, the Leopard 2 main battle tank, often considered the best in the world, has been modernised and adapted several times. The Leopard 2A5, introduced from 1995 onwards, features, among many minor improvements, better armour to protect the crew and an increased night-fighting capability thanks to a thermal imaging device located at the commander's level. The model offers a choice between the German A5 and the Dutch A5NL. The surface textures include all the details, including the filigree anti-slip coating. As a special feature, the model has a two-part chain that is folded.
